March 3-5
Yoga Workshops with Anton Mackey

Friday 5:30pm at Yogadurango on Main Detox Flow- Twists, Hips & Arm Balances ~ 90 minutes $25
Expect to detoxify the insides and awaken 1st, 2nd and 3rd Chakras with this hip opening, deep twisting class/workshop blend. Flow through funky transitions that take the body into several twists, while opening up the inner and outer hip. By opening the hips we can began to let go of stuck energy that is keeping us from fully enjoying the present moment. With deep twists we increase blood flow to internal organs while releasing toxins. Through arm balancing we can face our fears and find a greater sense of self confidence. Come wring out the old and breathe in some new uplifting energy!

Saturday 11:00am at Yogadurango on Florida Rd Psoas Release for Heart Opening! ~ 2 hours $35
Our bodies are a dumping ground for tension and stress. When we experience stress, tension, anxiety, or trauma, the body immediately goes into the ‘fight or flight’ response. The Psoas muscle (hip flexor) is directly linked to this primal instinct to protect. Under stress the Psoas contracts, becoming tight and short. Add to it the common movements of everyday life and various forms of exercise (cycling, running, hiking), the hip flexors are commonly the tightest muscle group in the body. This class systematically opens the group of hip flexor muscles, allowing for greater ease in back bending, and energetic heart opening. Just as we 'root down to rise up', when you open the psoas, you open the heart! Experience new freedom in back bends as we allow energy to flow like a stream, freeing us from the tendency to put up a fight or run and hide.

Saturday 3:30pm at Yogadurango on Florida ~ Elevate the Spirit ~ 2 hours $35
The body is merely the vessel that carries the spirit through the physical world. It is our souls playground. In this playful workshop we will uplift the spirit, build confidence, and face fears as we create lightness and lift within arm balances, inversions and transitions. Using bandha and core to learn to more gracefully float into and out of postures. We will touch on the anatomical principles of inversions. Students will learn proper alignment, body mechanics, leverage, strength and balance to make inversions happen with greater ease! We will focus on increasing strength and awareness in the jump-up, jump-back, press-up, handstand, and inversion & arm balance transitions.

Sunday 9:30am at Yogadurango on Main ~ Sacred Movement Flow ~ 90 minutes $25

Working with the wisdom of multiple spiritual paths, this class calls in the four directions and their corresponding elements to create a sacred flow. As above, so below, as without, so within. Through vinyasa sequences that flow like water and pranayama that builds a passionate fire inside we will connect deeper to Mother Earth and Father Sky. Utilizing the benefits of the physical practice to ground our bodies we allow our spirit to fly! Guided by the sounds of uplifting beats, we will connect to our highest selves and raise the vibration of our global tribe. This class includes elements of mediation, pranayama, crystal bowl sound healing and of course asana.

Yoga 12-Step Recovery with Heather Hooten

Y12SR is a 12-step based discussion and yoga practice open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behavior of others. This is a open and inclusive group. All A’s are welcome.

In this group we weave together the ancient wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12-step programs. We recognize that the “issues live in our tissues” and through our intentional, themed yoga practice, guided by our breath, we invoke the God of our understanding to help us release whatever is held. This group is in no way a replacement for 12-step meetings, a sponsor, or any other part of a 12-step recovery program. It is an adjunct providing what we believe is another helpful tool in addressing the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction.

Offer by donation. Suggested donation $10.

Breath, Chant, Dance with Mirabai Ceiba~keep infinity as reference in a world that's closing in

Mirabei Ceiba invites you to a transformative and joyful workshop of breathwork (pranayama), sacred chants and dance. How do we relate and respond to these challenging times? Our imagination about it, can be our limitations. Instead of losing our minds into the overflood of terrible news on social media and news sites, or escaping into a pink spiritual fantasy world, we need to access our capacities of contemplation and receptivity.  The very portal for infinity is the world we live in.  Everything is here and it is now and it is time to stop judging our human self.  Movement is the key.  By conscious breathing, chanting and free danacing you decide to move your inner world., you belong to movement and you belong to life.  Life is you and you are life. Let yourself be in the movement as it is.  Take a chance to journey beyond your limits and to explore the other side of your reality to keep infinity as a reference in a world that is closing in.
Mirabai Ceiba are Angelika Baumbach (harp, vocals) and Markus Seiber (guitar, vocals).  As a Spirit Voyage Music recording artist of Kirtan and World Music they have recorded over 10 albums and traveled all over the world for concerts and workshops. Their latest release Sevati reached #1 on the world music iTunes charts in 13 countries.
