Yoga Workshops at Yogadurango

Saturday, April 1st; 2:00-5:00PM
Breath, Chant, Dance with Mirabai Ceiba~keep infinity as reference in a world that's closing in

Mirabei Ceiba invites you to a transformative and joyful workshop of breathwork (pranayama), sacred chants and dance. How do we relate and respond to these challenging times? Our imagination about it, can be our limitations. Instead of losing our minds into the overflood of terrible news on social media and news sites, or escaping into a pink spiritual fantasy world, we need to access our capacities of contemplation and receptivity.  The very portal for infinity is the world we live in.  Everything is here and it is now and it is time to stop judging our human self.  Movement is the key.  By conscious breathing, chanting and free dancing you decide to move your inner world, you belong to movement and you belong to life.  Life is you and you are life. Let yourself be in the movement as it is.  Take a chance to journey beyond your limits and to explore the other side of your reality to keep infinity as a reference in a world that is closing in.
Mirabai Ceiba are Angelika Baumbach (harp, vocals) and Markus Seiber (guitar, vocals).  As a Spirit Voyage Music recording artist of Kirtan and World Music they have recorded over 10 albums and traveled all over the world for concerts and workshops. Their latest release Sevati reached #1 on the world music iTunes charts in 13 countries.

Yoga 12-Step Recovery with Heather Hooten

Y12SR is a 12-step based discussion and yoga practice open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behavior of others. This is a open and inclusive group. All A’s are welcome.

In this group we weave together the ancient wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12-step programs. We recognize that the “issues live in our tissues” and through our intentional, themed yoga practice, guided by our breath, we invoke the God of our understanding to help us release whatever is held. This group is in no way a replacement for 12-step meetings, a sponsor, or any other part of a 12-step recovery program. It is an adjunct providing what we believe is another helpful tool in addressing the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction.

Offer by donation. Suggested donation $10.
