We each have a unique combination of the elements and through this understanding we begin to understand  our “constitution.” The manifestation of those elements through the doshas (vata, pitta, kapha)  is what gives rise to our differences. You will have an opportunity to take a dosha quiz and glean knowledge about the intuitive beauty of Ayurvedic Medicine. Understanding ourselves and others through Ayurveda is insightful and beneficial.

Bhakti is the yoga of loving devotion, a spiritual path towards realizing our oneness with the Divine. This heartfelt path of yoga may include mantras, chanting, or other rituals practiced individually or in a group setting. Bhatki Yoga practices enhance our ability to recognize the Divine within ourselves and within all living beings, and to connect with others on a deeper, more conscious level. This lecture will include both discussion and practice to acknowledge ourselves as Divine beings and to explore how we may incorporate Bhakti practices into our lives.

Yoga and Acupuncture for Stress & Anxiety

A Workshop with Michele Lawrence, C-IAYT, Megan Lott, M.S. LAc & Kelly Sheridan, M.S. LAc

Do you feel like you are in a perpetual state of low-grade stress?
Do you wish you could reset your response mechanisms? This workshop can help! This 3-hour session will include a talk about how acupuncture and yoga can alleviate stress, a gentle and restorative yoga practice designed to calm the nervous system and personalized accupunture to help you reset.

Practicing yoga can not only be an effective stress reliever, but also a way to ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. By transferring focus and attention to the body and breath, yoga can help to temper anxiety while also releasing physical tension.

The acupuncture offered in this workshop targets the specific parts of the brain that get trapped in fight or flight mechanism in response to chronic stress. Stimulating these regions of the brain helps create a shift to the parasympathetic state and allows you the opportunity to break out of the stress cycle you are stuck in. Come join us and offer yourself the opportunity to create a pathway for a more resilient and healthy response to the stressors in your life!

This is a open and inclusive group. All A’s are welcome. In this group we weave together the ancient wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12-step programs. We recognize that the “issues live in our tissues” and through our intentional, themed yoga practice, guided by our breath, we invoke the God of our understanding to help us release whatever is held. This group is in no way a replacement for 12-step meetings, a sponsor, or any other part of a 12-step recovery program. It is an adjunct providing what we believe is another helpful tool in addressing the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. Offered by donation. Suggested donation $10.

Yin Yoga Workshop with Lynn Wickersham

Yin yoga is a passive form of asana practice designed to access the deeper layers of connective tissues in the joints, mainly the hips, knees, and spine. The practice consists of seated and reclined postures typically held for 2–5 minutes. With consistent practice, yin poses prepare the body to sit more comfortably and for longer periods of time in meditation. Yin poses also stimulate energy meridians in the body. Some of the many benefits of yin yoga include increased flexibility, lubrication of the joints, release of fascial tissue, energy regulation, reduced stress, and relaxation.

This workshop will explore the philosophy and mechanics of yin yoga through discussion and practice. Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of incorporating yin yoga into their yang lifestyles for physical and mental wellness. This offering is appropriate for all levels. Props will be utilized for comfort in the poses.

Conscious Breathing For Healing and Awakening with Zach Rehder

Throughout history, cultures worldwide have provided a means for people to access non-ordinary realms for healing and spiritual growth. Breathwork is a means of inducing an altered state of consciousness through full and connected breathing. An energy charge is created in the body, and as the energy disperses, it serves to release, or to cleanse blockages, both physical and emotional. Possible experiences include; resolution and release of current problems, unresolved childhood wounds, birth memories, past life remembrances and stored trauma in the body.

The process is gentle, safe, and loving and almost every person will have a deep moving experience. As an added benefit, Breathwork is quite healthy for the body. You will be conscious the whole time and totally in control. Please come prepared for immediate growth and a powerful experience.

***NOTE: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or sleeping bag, blanket and pillow. It's preferable not to eat for an hour prior.  We will provide eye masks or you can bring your own.

Cost: $35 preregister or $40 at the door
Space is limited.   Register online.
