AYURVEDA
means “The Knowledge of Life”. Practiced for over 5,000 years and originating from India, Ayurveda has assisted millions of individuals in journeying back to optimal health. Ayurveda views health and disease as the end result of how we interact with the world, in terms of our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings, which then ultimately determine our actions. Actions in harmony with our inner nature create health, while those disharmonious with our inner nature create disease. Health comes when we live in harmony with our true nature.
Ayurveda allows us to understand our individual constitution and to find the best ways to live a life of balance. It provides holistic understanding and healing to people on all levels: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Ayurvedic medicine is highly effective because the science individualizes and personalizes the approach to healing.
Ayurveda uses a multitude of healing modalities including herbs, diet, color aromatherapy, colors, sound, lifestyle recommendations, panchakarma, meditation, and yoga. These ancient principles are easily applicable and helpful with our modern-day challenges, asking us to slow down, listen and prioritize our well-being.

I started working with Sheryl out of a casual interest in what Ayurveda was and had to offer me. As it happened, I needed support and input more than I realized, to deal with some chronic issues and the challenges of moving beyond age 50. Through Sheryl, I received a ton of inspiring, encouraging, nourishing and healing practices, tips and specific recommendations. Sheryl skillfully paced and sequenced the practices she offered me so I never felt overwhelmed. I very quickly saw changes in my physical, mental and emotional states and found a thirst to seek more. Sheryl’s expertise in yoga, her warm and vivacious personality and her blossoming and well-rounded knowledge of Ayurveda made it especially inspiring and delightful to dive into this ancient wisdom with her.
Sheryl’s warm and compassionate nature creates a comfortable, relaxed environment for patients to explore. Through Sheryl and Ayurveda, I found a deeper awareness of the connection between food, herbs, self-care and healing. This brings more peace into my life
In each of our meetings, Sheryl always explained the principles of Ayurveda in a clear and helpful way. She focused on my individual needs within the broader context of Ayurveda, and helped me understand how to apply various tools in my daily life in unique, approachable, and practical ways, working with me toward greater balance and overall health in mind, body & spirit.
