Michele Lawrence, C-IAYT, ERYT 500. As a Yoga Therapist, Michele applies Yoga techniques and practices to help individuals facing health challenges at any level manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality, and improve attitude. Her specialties include working with individuals who face depression, anxiety, chronic pain, cancer and grief, although she sees people with a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
“Michele brings wonderful insight and thoroughness to her practice in Yoga Therapy. My time with Michele has benefited me in a couple of significant areas – She has guided me in successfully working through some very specific injuries that were at the time limiting what I could do in my desired practice while also bringing a holistic perspective around how yoga can serve and be an integral part of my life.” – Eric M.
“Yoga for Healing has been a wonderful tool in my emotional and physical journey through grief and autoimmune issues. I continue to benefit from this class with the tools presented to us that support better health on a daily basis. I look forward to this class each week as a way of sharing space with others as a community. I always leave with a sense of renewal.” – Mary E.
“If you are looking for a rehabilitative method that will offer you more than objective and repetitive clinical physical therapy then Yoga for Healing is for you. No matter what disease or physical difficulty (condition) you are working with you will find this healing environment inclusive and accepting. All poses are carefully chosen to allow for your specific requirements in your healing process. Alternative postures are frequently offered to assist with physical limitations you might encounter. All is done gently with focus on breathing and assisting your body to heal. Even more, you will find your fellow participants supportive and encouraging. It is this kind of community support that promotes the positive energies that provides the psyche the positive energy to assist the body in healing.” – Suz C.
